SCRIPTURE: Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might. (Ecclesiastes 9:10)
THE ENTREPRENEUR’S REFLECTION
The question I get asked most often is, “Where do I start?” People think they need to start by renting an office, printing t-shirts, or registering a company. No. That is playing “house,” not doing business. You start by selling something.
Business is a simple equation: Value x Volume. Where do you start? You start with the “closest cash.” Look at your hand. What skill, product, or access do you have right now? Who is the person closest to you who has a problem you can solve with that thing?
If you are a graphic designer, do not build a portfolio website. Go to the shop down the street with the ugly sign and offer to fix it for
$20. If you are selling chickens, do not design a logo. Call your aunt and sell her five chickens. In physics, static friction (getting an object moving) is always higher than kinetic friction (keeping it moving). You need to push hard today just to get the wheels turning.
Do not worry about scaling yet. Do not worry about automation. Do not worry about the logo. Just exchange value for money. Validation does not come from a business plan; it comes from a receipt.
Lord, I step out in faith today. I reject procrastination disguised as “planning.” I ask for the courage to ask for the sale. Bless the work of my hands this day. Open the doors I knock on, and give me favor with my first customers. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
THE EXECUTION PROTOCOL
The Minimum Viable Transaction: Find one person today who has a problem you can solve. Offer to solve it for a price. Do not go to sleep until you have made an offer.
The “Ugly” Start: Do something “unscalable” today. Hand-deliver a letter. Cold call a stranger. Do the dirty work that the “big guys” won’t do.
Kill the Perfectionism: Launch the product/service at 70% quality. The market will tell you how to fix the other 30%. You cannot steer a parked car.
