SCRIPTURE: The wise man’s eyes are in his head, but the fool walks in darkness. (Ecclesiastes 2:14)
THE ENTREPRENEUR’S REFLECTION
In physics, a lever is a simple machine that allows a small force to move a great weight. In business, a lever is anything that allows you to deliver value to thousands without multiplying your own labor. If you are selling your time (e.g., as a consultant, mechanic, or therapist), you have no leverage; you are only paid once. Your ceiling is fixed. Your wealth creation is tied to a linear exchange. The wise entrepreneur seeks leverage. Your greatest levers are code (software/websites), media (videos/books), and capital (money funding assets). This is how you move from being a worker in the system to an owner of the system. You are building assets that generate value while you sleep, travel, or strategize. You must choose today: will you keep pushing your own weight, or will you find a longer lever?
PRAYER / CONFESSION
Father, open my eyes to the high-leverage activities. I refuse to trade hours for dollars. I commit to building assets—intellectual property, repeatable systems, and media that scales my voice. I pray for the vision to see my business not as a job, but as a machine capable of moving mountains. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
THE EXECUTION PROTOCOL
The Code/Media Asset: Identify one piece of knowledge you can record, write, or automate today (e.g., a simple video course, a reusable template, or a calculator on your website).
Productize the Service: Can you turn your 1-on-1 consultation into a standardized, purchasable digital product? Create a mock-up of this product.
Hire for Leverage: Delegate the task you repeat most often, freeing you up to work on the lever.
