SCRIPTURE: The plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance, but everyone who is hasty comes only to poverty. (Proverbs 21:5)
THE ENTREPRENEUR’S REFLECTION
Diligence is not just hard work; it is doing the right thing at the right time. The Cost of Delay (CoD) is the revenue you lose for every day you postpone a project. That website launch you delayed by one month? It cost you one month of potential sales. That new price increase you put off? It cost you revenue on every transaction for that period. Procrastination is not laziness; it is a financial vice. You must value speed of execution because time is the only non-renewable resource you have. Be deliberate, not hasty (poverty is for the hasty), but be swift. The market waits for no one.
PRAYER / CONFESSION
Lord, grant me the diligence to execute with precision and speed. I reject the spirit of procrastination and the financial tax of delay. I pray for the clarity to identify the high-priority action that, if completed today, will unlock the greatest future abundance. Let my plans move from paper to reality this week. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
THE EXECUTION PROTOCOL
Calculate the CoD: Identify the biggest delayed project (e.g., “new product launch”). Estimate the potential revenue of that project for one month. That is your CoD.
Set the Hard Date: Set a non-negotiable public deadline for that project (e.g., “Product launches Feb 29th”).
Deconstruct the Task: Break the delayed project into 5 tasks that must be completed by the end of today.
