SCRIPTURE: Where there is no vision, the people perish. (Proverbs 29:18)
THE ENTREPRENEUR’S REFLECTION
As your enterprise scales, your team needs a purpose beyond a paycheck. Where there is no compelling vision, the people (employees, clients, partners) perish and drift away. Your vision is not a business goal; it is a description of the ideal, better future you are working to create for the world (e.g., “To make transportation accessible to everyone,” or “To secure financial freedom for 1 million families”). This compass guides every decision, attracts mission-aligned talent, and motivates perseverance through tough times. If you can articulate a future worth fighting for, your people will carry the banner without needing to be pushed.
PRAYER / CONFESSION
Lord, grant me a clear, compelling vision for a future greater than the present. Help me to articulate a purpose that inspires my team and transcends mere profit. I pray for the power to lead by conviction, so that my enterprise becomes a magnet for talent aligned with our greater mission. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
THE EXECUTION PROTOCOL
Draft the Vision: Write a single, concise sentence describing the world you want to create (e.g., “A world where every small business has access to enterprise-level resources”).
Test the Vision: Share this vision statement with a team member or trusted friend and ask them, “Does this sound worth fighting for?”
Embed the Vision: Update your website’s “About Us” page to feature this vision prominently.
