SCRIPTURE: Be diligent to know the state of your flocks… (Proverbs 27:23)
THE ENTREPRENEUR’S REFLECTION
Revenue is vanity. Profit is sanity. Cash is reality. You can be “profitable” on paper and still go bankrupt if the cash isn’t in the bank. In Zimbabwe or India wherever you are reading this from, cash flow management is a survival skill. Do not eat your seed. The money that comes in today is not for you; it is for the business. It needs to buy more stock, pay for ads, and cover the rent. Pay yourself a salary, and leave the rest. A bank teller is surrounded by money but cannot touch a single cent even if it is for mom’s cancer treatment or a real problem. Its not the teller’s money , its the bank’s money , same as your business.
THE EXECUTION PROTOCOL
Separate the Accounts: If you haven’t yet, open a separate container/account for business money today.
The Daily Tally: Count the cash at the end of every day. Know exactly what came in and went out.
The Buffer: Start saving 10% of daily revenue into an emergency fund for “winter days.”
