THE ENTREPRENEUR’S REFLECTION

People don’t buy what you do; they buy why you do it. In a market of generics, the Story is the differentiator. Why did you start? What do you stand for?

Rory Sutherland teaches us that value is psychological. A $5 coffee is just hot water and beans, but with a story about “fair trade beans from the mountains of Peru,” it becomes an experience. Wrap your product in a narrative.

THE EXECUTION PROTOCOL

Origin Story: Write down the 3-sentence story of why you started this business. Post it today.

Customer Hero: Share a story of a customer you helped. Make them the hero, not you.

Visual Identity: Does your packaging/logo tell the right story? If it looks cheap, the story is “we are cheap.”
