SCRIPTURE: To the one who is faithful in a very little, he will be set over much. (Luke 16:10)

THE ENTREPRENEUR’S REFLECTION

The Italian economist Vilfredo Pareto discovered that 20% of the population owned 80% of the land. This principle, the 80/20 Rule, applies everywhere in your business: 20% of your products bring in 80% of your revenue. 20% of your customers cause 80% of your headaches. 20% of your daily activities produce 80% of your results. The hustle mentality says, “Work on everything.” The enterprise mentality says, “Identify the vital few and eliminate the trivial many.” Your wealth is hidden in the tiny sliver of activity that drives everything else. You must be ruthless in cutting the underperforming 80% of your product line, client list, or daily tasks.

PRAYER / CONFESSION

Lord, grant me surgical precision. I ask for the data and discipline to identify the vital 20% that multiplies my results. Deliver me from the addiction to busywork and the delusion that all effort is equally rewarded. Help me focus my faithfulness on the very little that yields much. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

THE EXECUTION PROTOCOL

Client Audit: Rank your top 10 clients by revenue. Do the top two clients (20%) generate the majority of your income? Analyze why.

Product Audit: Look at your last month’s sales. Which two products generated 80% of the profit? Plan to double down on marketing only those two.

Kill the Trivial: Identify one daily task that consumes time (80%) but generates minimal revenue (20%). Stop doing it immediately.
