SCRIPTURE: The measure of grain was a tenth of an ephah. (Leviticus 23:32)
THE ENTREPRENEUR’S REFLECTION
The Minimum Effective Dose is the smallest intervention required to produce the desired result. For example, to boil water, you need 100°C. Boiling it at 101°C is a waste of fuel; 99°C does nothing. In business, you must identify the MED for your critical processes. If your customer conversion rate jumps from 2% to 10% after 3 emails, sending 7 emails is wasted effort and risks annoying the customer. You must eliminate the unnecessary inputs that don’t increase the output. Find the minimum measure of grain required, be faithful to it, and stop doing extra work just for the sake of feeling busy. Focus on the few inputs that move the needle the most.
PRAYER / CONFESSION
Father, sharpen my understanding of efficiency. Deliver me from the vanity of over-optimization. I pray for the insight to find the Minimum Effective Dose in my sales, marketing, and delivery. Help me to achieve maximum impact with minimal, focused effort, honoring the fuel I spend. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
THE EXECUTION PROTOCOL
Analyze Your MED: Look at your sales process. How many interactions does it take, on average, to close a client? Reduce that number by one interaction.
Cut the Fat: Look at your product’s features. If 80% of your users only use 20% of the features, eliminate the unused 80%.
The Single Focus: For the next 3 days, focus on only one metric (e.g., “Calls Made”) and ignore all others.
