SCRIPTURE: He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. (Psalm 23:2)
THE ENTREPRENEUR’S REFLECTION
The hustler manages time; the enterprise leader manages energy. Time is fixed (24 hours); energy is renewable. Peak performance is achieved not through non-stop labor, but through a rhythm of high-intensity focus followed by deliberate, restorative rest. You must know when you are best suited for creative work (often the morning) and when you are best suited for administrative tasks (often the afternoon). You need “green pastures” (rest) and “still waters” (calm reflection) to regenerate your greatest asset: your mind. To do high-quality work, you must eliminate energy leaks (draining people, unnecessary tasks) and honor your body’s natural cycle.
PRAYER / CONFESSION
Father, I pray for the wisdom to manage my energy, not just my calendar. Lead me to the green pastures of restorative rest and the still waters of clear thought. Help me to honor the rhythm of my body and mind, eliminating all leaks and distractions that diminish my creative capacity. I commit to high-intensity work followed by deliberate recovery. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
THE EXECUTION PROTOCOL
Identify Peak Time: Find the 90-minute block each day when you feel the most focused and creative.
Block the Time: Schedule your single most important, revenue- generating task for that exact block. Treat it as a non-negotiable meeting with your destiny.
Identify the Leak: Name one person, habit, or repetitive thought that drains your energy, and take steps to reduce its influence today.
