With that being said lets get to the day’s business.

The zero-capital entrepreneur must constantly choose between spending money (which they don’t have) and spending time (which they do). The wise entrepreneur, like the virgins who took oil, uses their time as capital to complete tasks others pay for. This means building your own website, handling your own customer service, and designing your own materials. You are trading your high-effort, free time for the money you would have paid a specialist. This is necessary during the bootstrapping phase to preserve every dollar. Know the exact tasks where the time investment is worth the financial savings, and protect your meager capital.

PRAYER / CONFESSION

Father, grant me the wisdom to make shrewd trade-offs between my time and my money. I commit to using my free time as my

capital, preserving my cash for critical, non-negotiable expenses. Help me to identify the tasks where my time investment yields the highest financial return. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

THE EXECUTION PROTOCOL

Define the Trade: Name one task you are currently avoiding because it feels complex (e.g., “Setting up the email list”).

The Time Investment: Block off 2 hours today to research and execute that task yourself using free tools (Apr 6), refusing to pay a contractor.

Calculate the Savings: Estimate the cost of outsourcing that task (e.g., “$150”) and record that amount as “bootstrapping capital saved” in your financial ledger.

SCRIPTURE: So the foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
