SCRIPTURE: When they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, ‘Men and brethren, what shall we do?’ (Acts 2:37)
THE ENTREPRENEUR’S REFLECTION
When you have no experience, you cannot lean on degrees or past jobs. Your expertise must be demonstrated through the Language of Expertise—the specific, precise, and outcome-oriented vocabulary of your niche. Do not use vague terms; use technical, specific language that shows you understand the client’s problem at a deep level. When Peter spoke, the listeners were “cut to the heart” because his words were authoritative and specific to their condition. Your words must be equally precise. This costs zero dollars, but it immediately raises your perceived value and competence far above your competitors.
PRAYER / CONFESSION
Lord, I pray for the authoritative language of my niche. Help me to speak with such precision and clarity that my clients are cut to the heart, realizing I understand their greatest pain. I commit to learning and utilizing the specific vocabulary that demonstrates my mastery, replacing the need for formal credentials. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
THE EXECUTION PROTOCOL
Identify the Vagueness: List 5 vague words you commonly use to describe your service (e.g., “Help,” “Improve,” “Good,” “Better”).
Define the Specificity: Replace those 5 words with 5 highly specific, industry-relevant terms (e.g., “Optimize,” “Conversion-Rate- Driven,” “Asymmetric Leverage,” “Minimum Viable”).
The Re-Write: Re-write the main headline on your professional profile using only your new, authoritative vocabulary.
